Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year! 

Hello Thurgood Marshall Families, 

As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I am filled with excitement and gratitude to be part of this incredible community as your principal. At Thurgood Marshall Elementary, we are committed to creating a safe, joyful, and engaging environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether your child is just starting their journey with us or returning for another great year, we are here to support, challenge, and celebrate them every step of the way. 

Our school is proudly named after Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, whose lifelong work for justice and equality inspires us to serve with integrity, compassion, and courage. We also proudly represent the Mustangs—symbolizing strength, grace, and unity. Just like our namesake and mascot, we believe in lifting others up and moving forward together. 

As your principal, my goal is to continue building a culture where students are seen, heard, and empowered to explore who they are and what they can achieve. Our incredible team of teachers and staff is dedicated to ensuring every child receives a meaningful, inclusive, and joyful learning experience. 

We also believe in the power of partnership. Families are an essential part of our success, and we look forward to working with you throughout the year. One great way to get involved is by joining our Parent-Teacher Club (PTC). Your ideas, time, and voice make a big difference, and we welcome your participation. Be sure to stay connected through our newsletters, Class Dojo, Peachjar, and school messages via phone and email. We will also continue our “Coffee and Tea with the Principal” gatherings throughout the year—your voice matters. 

Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education. I am truly excited about the year ahead and all we will accomplish together.
